I avoid talking about such polarising topics online. It’s not worth the headache for me. If people were able to rationally discuss politics, religion, covid, etc, I would get in on these conversations, but they can’t. On every topic, both sides usually seem so unreasonable to me. The fact that having an opposing opinion to someone else is so hated in society is really sad to me. No one seems to be tolerant. Kindness is lacking.

❤️

@Babylon Hopefully it was something positive. ☺️ Thank you for best comment. ❤️

@SW-User Thank you, but I wasn’t looking for persuasion in either direction. I have my opinions on it and I’m keeping those opinions to myself. I am here to enjoy my time on SW, not debate with absolute strangers.
@WanderingThrough absolutely positive, gurl v_v
It's not to debate with people who don't care about justice and truth
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
Good outcome. He should have been acquitted.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Babylon other than he is clearly not guilty of murder
@MasterLee I don't think he murdered anyone. It isn't even to the level of homicide either, taking Rittenhouse's stance
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Babylon ok he defended himself totally within the laws of the state of Wisconsin.
curiosi · 61-69, F
Justice prevailed! There is a glimmer of hope for America after all!

Will not argue this it is my opinion from watching/reading all the video's and news.
@curiosi can you describe the America you have hope for?
curiosi · 61-69, F
@Babylon Where righteousness prevails and hopefully the rioters/looters will be locked up.
SW-User
I think the jury got it right and justice was served.
@SW-User do you think that Rittenhouse was completely correct with everything he did that night?
SW-User
@Babylon I don't think he should have been there in the first place. But I stand by the jury's verdict.
@SW-User you know, you're the first person to unbiasedly criticize his presence there:
I don't think he should have been there in the first place
I would give you BA if I hadn't awarded it already 😅

You spark hope in me for honest conversations on here
I think it went exactly as it should.
@SW-User I hope your work goes well. Something to think about it when talking about responsibility with firearms and when to shoot, Rittenhouse was approached by a man who was also armed and came right up to him with a gun and was talking to him and wanted to disarm him without shooting Rittenhouse at point blank range. Rittenhouse ends up shooting him, too.

I heard a user here claim that what was said was a threat but I don't think the guy trying to disarm him was trying to harm him at all
SW-User
@Babylon If anyone came up to me and tried to take my gun, my bow, my child, my money... I'm not going to let it happen without a fight. Stupidest thing a person can do is try to drag a person's weapon out of their arms and I don't believe for a second that guy was just being helpful.
SW-User
@RogueLoner Well.... I guess that means I have to make my own topics so I can comment on things completely!! 🤣🤣🤣 Just too funny! lol

@SW-User I agree. I'm not interested in sides but more so the strange things that lead up to that encounter that require justification
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Justice served for a change
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
I'd rather not say haha! Mama always said if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Or maybe that was Thumper. I dunno. I have mommy issues
@TheLordOfHell it was thumper… but you can call him flower… if you want to.
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
@DarkHeaven Awe they both need hugs
Ynotisay · M
If you strip away all the 'right/left' noise I'm not sure, given the charges and the video, there was going to be different verdict. The prosecution had to disprove self-defense. That's a really high bar. Unfortunately, we live in a society that allows for a brainwashed, 17 year old extremist to carry weapons.
SW-User
All I heard was not guilty
Pretzel · 61-69, M
it shows how groups of people need adults to supervise them.

so many stupid choices all the way around
@Pretzel I would agree if this wasn't orchestrated by adults, sadly
Pretzel · 61-69, M
@Babylon just people over 18 - not nearly enough adults
@MasterLee do you think the armed man who watched Kyle shoot two people dead and showed mercy to Kyle by holding his fire and trying to talk to him safely should have shot Kyle in fear of his life, too?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Babylon facts not in evidence
I really don’t know enough about it.
@Babylon I still don’t know. I’d have to hear testimony. I’d think intent would be big on this one.
SW-User
@DarkHeaven that was not an accurate relation of events

@SW-User He must have been pretty scared.
DDonde · 31-35, M
I haven't been following it tbh. Dunno what happened or what it is
@DDonde I explain the shooting scene and then the general background from my understanding in a response to @DarkHeaven
SW-User
I am disgusted by the excessively privledged elderly white men lining up to throw a working class teen under the bus for their political careers.

Either that or they lack the critical faculties to be in their positions. Engaging in trial by tweet is about as responsible as allowing cities to be looted and trashed.
SW-User
@Babylon undermining the legal system can have long lasting ramifications.
@SW-User I guess you support the OJ case's outcome, then
SW-User
@Babylon I'm sorry, that false equivalence is too stupid to answer seriously.
SW-User
I'm really happy. It sickens me how ready people are to smear others, but particularly when it is a child. They should take a good hard look at themselves
