@Oneofthestormboys Margret Thatcher decided to use military action, not diplomacy to resolve the issue.. My point about Margret Thatcher and Indira Gandhi is they where just the same as the men which ruled their countries..

@Adstar If my history is correct, the military action was first carried out by Argentina in militarily invading another country’s sovereign territory. Invariably this sort of action has initiated a response by the country to whom it belongs. To say that Margaret Thatcher “launched a war” is factually incorrect. I do get your point though.

@Oneofthestormboys Yes Argentina invaded the Falkland islands first.. But Argentina had been negotiating with Britain before the invasion.. Britain refused to hand over the islands.. Of course Argentina did not agree that the Falkland islands where UK territory, as part of the UN charter for de-colonization agreement Argentina believed the UK should have withdrawn from all it's colonial possessions and they included the Falkland islands..

Margret Thatcher could have responded to the invasion using diplomacy and not by launching military action.. But she decided to go to war.. My main point of my response to trippins point that woman taking positions of power would equate to world peace was to show it was a false Idea.. Woman who gain power in this world are just as likely to engage in warfare as men who are in power..

Oh and another bonus example was Golda Meir the former Prime Minister of Israel.. She also was involved in a war while in the leadership position in the 1973 Yom Kippur War.
