how would you feel about it if a foreigner spoke your first language better than you?

jackson55 · M
Wouldn’t surprise me. Many foreigners learn proper English and not the slang we use.

Pahahaha I live in England, they already do

My dad was a foreigner/immigrant whose English grammar was better than my mom’s and she. Was born here. He worked a lot harder growing up to perfect his English and schools were much stricter

I'm sure many do.
I would feel great about it. But it's not going to happen.
My grammar is impeccable. I have to tone it down to make it conversational.
Wouldn't bother me. Everyone now days are too concerned with others are living, while not paying enough attention to their own lives.

I have seen that often enough. I grew up in a neighboring state, so I have an excuse. 😏

I'm pretty sure most of them do, it's fine though it doesn't bother me at all
