9. President Biden ended a hopeless debacle that was costing us the lives of our soldiers for no good reason. And has cost us over two trillion dollars. Sometimes there is no good outcome to a bad situation. The blame belongs with President George W. Bush who got us entangled in that Afghanistan/Iraq mess in 2002.

It was largely a scam by unscrupulous military contracts and other scoundrels to line their pockets at the expense of the American tax payer.

@badminton Glad to hear you approve of abandoning the country in the middle of the night, leaving behind millions in equipment and 10,000 American citizens, eh? Sad

Have you looked at the casualty counts over the past two years?

We probably had fewer casualties in Afghanistan over those years than we had in Germany, or South Korea, or Japan.

It doesn't make sense. There is something going on here. Why on earth would they surrender a fortified military facility in favor of a civilian airport? NOTHING makes sense here.

It's like Biden is having psychotic delusions and acting on them and no one in his administration has called in a psychiatrist.

@Heartlander More causalities in chicago any weekend than in Afghanistan
@sunsporter1649 I am sure you have all kinds of conspiracy theories about that too.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Nope, just the facts, something you left-wing nut jobs are unfamiliar with

2600 Brave souls died in Afghanistan, shame on you, you call yourself a "Marine"? Go hang your head in shame, what were you, 4th Battalion?
@sunsporter1649 Facts are something you are allergic to.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@spjennifer In the last 18 months not a single American was killed. How many, in the last 18 months, have been murdered in chicago. Shame on you for supporting the uncaring demonocrats in chicago, and our other major cities. Defund the police and this is what you get, enjoy the fruit's of your labors
@sunsporter1649 Not sure what your random tangent is all about. But I am sure you have a conspiracy theory for that too.

Actually the Chicago PD is probably one of the most crooked departments in the country. A few years ago they got caught running their own little versions of gitmo around the city disappearing people like an American backed banana republic.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow And yet you go on supporting and approving the job the demonocrats are doing to clean up the mess. Keep it up, the mob will be at your door next
@sunsporter1649 Lol. Must suck being a right winger afraid of everything and everyone.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow So your defense of the biden screw up is to blame President Trump?

Referencing unscrupulous scoundrels lining their pockets, the name of Hunter Biden fronting for the "Big Guy" is the first thing that comes to mind.

It's not a stretch to think that Hunter may at this moment be trying to broker an oil deal between China and the Taliban.

Need pipes to get it there? No problem, the Big Guy can help take care of that also.

@Heartlander The U.S. withdrawal makes perfect sense. We have been there for nearly 20 years. We have spend over $2 trillion. Over 2,500 American soldiers have been killed. For what gain? NONE.

The U.S. attempts to create a national Afghan army have completely failed. The great corruption of our Afghan "allies" made many U.S. observers quit in disgust. ENOUGH.

For God's sake let's learn from this. The next time they try to get us entangled in another war-invasion-occupation Americans must get together and tell Congress and the President 'I'M ALLREADY AGAINST THE NEXT WAR." NEVER AGAIN.

@badminton We've also been in South Korea for 70 years and had we suddenly yanked the rug from beneath our Korean friends at the 20 year point it's likely that South Korea would have experienced the same fate as Southeast asia and Afghanistan.
