I don’t know, but they should give Everest a rest. The place is a trash dump and open grave yard now.

@L33TH4X0R I admire what you’ve accomplished. There is something about enduring such suffering which creates long lasting feelings of satisfaction. Well done!

@Fukfacewillie Have you? Maybe not Everest or K2 but have you pushed yourself? Hiking, climbing, rafting, sailing?

I've a picture at home which reads 'Boats are safe in a harbor, but it's not where they were built for'.

The reason there is controversy is because he believed his own lies. He told everyone that it was "his turn" and that he "deserved" to make it to the top after decades of climbing and throwing other climbers off the cliff just to get ahead.
On the day of the summit he was blindsided to find out that no one cared what he thought he "deserved" and the other guy made it to the top instead and Sir Clinton just threw a fit, stomped his feet like a three year old and refused to give a concession speech...uhhh I mean refused to leave the mountain.

And if you actually meant Sir Edmund Hillary, he gets credit because the other climber in the running died somewhere near the top and any proof of him actually reaching the top (if he did) dissapeared with him.

{@harldhugh ] no it was sir hilliary clinton he sorry she has a lot of political mountains to climb before she reaches the top 😆
Why do they maintain he didn't make it to the top? My thoughts are that I wasn't there so I rely on the testimony of those that were there.

@midnightrose There are so many who claim to have reached the top though.

I think he was the first "successful", but I still believe Mallory and Irvine made the summit first but died on the descent.

I heard Sir Hillary dragged Wild Bill up there every step of the way and he cried like a little girl!
