It’s a time warp. They are actually going very fast but because the warping of space/time, your perception of it is that they are moving very slow. Walmart uses it to control labor costs. 😌

When Morrisons cashiers were told to send transactions through at the speed of light here they ran into a problem.We customers didn’t pack our shopping any quicker!
Didn’t keep that policy for long....

It's amazing how much slower it is now with all these computers than it was in 1970. We had non electric cash registers. Caching!!!

It's often the fault of customers. They try to haggle prices at the register more than you'd imagine. At least around here they have quotas and get yelled at or fired if they don't check enough people out in a certain timeframe.

God, one time the dude at the checkout was tripping balls. He kept dropping my groceries and coulnt even put them in the bag. Spent at least 10 minutes just sliding sauce packets back and forth over the scanner.

Hahahahah I'd probably have to be high to work there too
