@Nimbus even the doctors are complaining on how much they are being charged at hospitals after having some kind of procedure and not understanding how the bills are calculated. That’s how bad it is.
chrisCA · M
@cherokeepatti I would think with social media, and online reviews, no merchant in their right mind would be gouging customers.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@chrisCA trying to make up for lost sales
BlueVeins · 22-25
Mmmm it's hard to say. If I were asked what the most impressive thing about the US is, I would answer either our robust legal system or our National Parks system. But as far as for the average person, I think it's pretty cool to just live in a colossal country where we can travel around as much as we want without even having to hop borders or (for the most part) learn new languages.
Nimbus · M
@BlueVeins Good point.

The quality of life, if you can afford a good one, which I can. If I were poor, there are other countries I'd rather be poor in.
Nimbus · M
@JonathanC What are these 'other countries' ?
Nanori · F
@JonathanC if you can afford it then any country's good for living
JonathanC · 61-69, M
@Nimbus If I were dirt poor, I'd rather be in New Zealand.
The privilege not to be afraid of what many other nations go through
Nimbus · M
@TheBlackPowerRanger Nice one :)
@Nanori it isn't. This division is just a measure to feel better about oneself. It doesn't grant us arms and legs here to be first world
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Nanori it isn't with the socialist democrats in charge.

Freedom and opportunities.
Nimbus · M
@SW-User True.

Is the American Dream still alive and well?
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
You get to live in the bEsT cOuNtrY oN EaRtH
Nimbus · M
@deadgerbil lol, how so?
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
@Nimbus bc this country has always embraced freedom, esp when it comes to minorities, and does its best to tackle enduring systemic issues which plague them... Jk lol

@Nimbus In not so sure enjoying is what we are doing. More like grieving...
Watching Fergies attempt at singing the national anthem live, would've been my answer

Nimbus · M
@SW-User That's progress. 👍

Something most of us take for granted but shouldn't.
SW-User
@Nimbus I never do. I'm forever grateful they managed to find their way to this country.
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
I can say whatever the fuck I want.
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@SW-User Hee hee.
Jimmy2016 · 61-69, M
@JoyfulSilence Maybe on SW you can, but now in public or other social media...
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@Jimmy2016 I still can say what I want. Heck, I can anywhere on the planet. But there are always consequences. At least in the US I am quite protected from the government, for most things. Private companies can boot me, of course.
smiler2012 · 61-69
{@nimbus] they have not have a mopheaded buffoon running there country like we have nimby
Nimbus · M
@smiler2012 This is a first, we agree 😯
