There was a guy named Michael who some how would be on any City bus I would be on. (totally weird) at first until we started speaking. He had this real VanZant bohemian way of dressing, and looked like Carlos Santana but with striking white hair that was at least 2 feet long and in a pony tail, with a Fedora hat sometimes or a satin long scarf tied like a pirate's bandana.
He always had the pearls of wisdom he would drop on me where I was sure GOD himself was using Michael as a vessel, then Michael's face would returns to this stoic look like the last ten minutes never happened and I was only some what familiar to him.
It was always cool how he would just come up to me, and initiate conversation, with a perfectly relevant piece of advice to what I was working through, before I would even tell him what I was having to deal with.
My experiences with Michael were for sure Supernatural in it's simplistic definition and the most complex too.

@bijouxbroussard Wow!

@SW-User In the 90s she came and spoke at one of our universities. A friend who taught there invited me go with her and a couple of others to hear Maya. Afterwards, we were invited us to have dinner with her at her hotel. She was really nice, funny, great sense of humor. One of the coolest experiences of my little life. ☺️

A homeless man who showed me around Portland years ago. He gave up on everything after his wife divorced him; just packed up and started hitchhiking around the country. He knew where to get food donations around the city. He helped me find a cheap place to stay. We talked about his life a bit. It interested me anyway. Maybe that was the first time I’d encountered someone outside the norm who was happy with being outside of it.

@SW-User Those are the best encounters, aren't they?

@Iwillwait People are surprising.

My high school Latin teacher. He was my all time favorite teacher. He knew so much about ancient Roman history, and he incorporated it into the study of the language.

I generally don’t rate people, but I had a terrific conversation with Bob Costas after he gave a speech at my school (this was over 35 years ago) about his love of baseball, changes in sports (both rule changes and changes to the surfaces played on), dealing with players and agents and the fact that he (like myself) used to memorize the statistics on the back of baseball cards (the difference being that he found a way to make money from it by majoring in Communications at Syracuse).
The whole afternoon (both the speech and the talk afterward) was enlightening.

He was my brother's previous partner. He taught art at the local community college in Lansing, Michigan. He was very flamboyant, but fascinating. He was so creative that his life was spent in constant interesting projects. His home was amazing, because he was his own interior decorator.

I met an older hippie in San Francisco who had known Bobby Fischer, was on Nocons evnemies list and sent to prison, partied with Starship and is now a computer coder. He was a fascinating character. Played him in a chess tournament and we had coffee afterwards. He looked like Charlie Manson

Well, famous anyway. Emma Watson. She momentarily mistook me for another actor.
@SW-User well what about interesting people. In the sense just you never get bored of talking to them or something like that
SW-User
@Theambivert I struggle to find interesting people.
