I just read recently, time doesn't exist, I forget what book it was...but it's a human construct

@Coralmist Yes, exactly.
It's just something people came up with to make it easier to explain and talk about things.

@MalteseFalconPunch I was just trying to understand what you meant and not make any assumptions.
I've never heard of rocks slowing time around it but i guess it makes sense if everything has it's own gravitational pull. And then our feet are closer to the Earth than our brain most of the time, so the every so slijghtly age difference makes sense. But that isn't really time, it's the effect of gravity.

An abstraction
AussieZane · 36-40, M
@Socorro How so?
Socorro · 61-69, M
Without consciousness and observations there is no fundamental framework defined as time.@AussieZaneso so, movement and change consists mainly within the unique point of a sentient entity. We can only realize successive duration within our selves as "time".
AussieZane · 36-40, M
@Socorro I agree with that sentence. I'd call it an illusion, though.

I'll tell you later.

Time is just an aspect of change which is very very real.
Everything changes. Even time itself.
That time changes, at relativistic speeds being one, has been proven numerous times and ways.

To the best of our knowledge, time is real and appears to only "pass".
