The idea that people arent capable of being healed or bettering themselves is all lies!
...and lies which are really convenient for some other people sometimes..
...they also keep the psychs in work with guaranteed lifelong clients...how convenient!
But yes...violence from a partner is never acceptable, and it is a deal breaker..

I’ve never been angry hit by a partner. I’m 6’1” and grew up working cattle on my parents farm, so I was pretty strong growing up and didn’t really get into any scuffles with other girls. I’ve only been hit by a man once when he called my beautiful black girlfriend at the time the N work dyke. I went up and spit in his face and he punched me. At the time, I sort of just stood their stunned but I tend to go PTSD rage now, so it’d be pretty bad.

In our first time together, she did.....
...but then I goaded her into it.....we were a volatile couple back in our 20's...and we did split up a little later...
...but, some 12 or so years later, we'd matured...and grown up...and got our shit together...
More respectful to each other now....

@Nimbus It was a tough situation. They always say that you always hurt the ones you love. Being in a relationship with a prostitute, as I was then and am still now, means that sexual inadequacies could be thrown to the other partner, and I would admit to firing up her jealousy, at times, with things that I said about my clients....
It's all about self-confidence, knowing who you are and what you stand for and being respectful to each other. Basically, it's about growing up.....
The years apart made me (and I guess she did her own journey) readdress my behaviours and just how I was back then. We did come together, apologised for our earlier behaviours - which was very important - and set about creating a framework to live together by.
It's been hard....and it's been easy.....but we've talked things through, if they've needed to be talked through.....
There's not been any 'flashpoints' like their had been in the past....
