Lol a better question is why does anyone hate star trek? A show about hope for the future, about humanity at its best, about exploration and discovery. If you hate that then maybe you're the problem 😜

Original series or next gen? The whole Kirk/Picard debate hinges on the Spock/Worf pivot. Me, I'm a Spock guy. Plus the original was far more socially relevant in the context of the era. Next gen was more basic entertainment. Anyway, they lost me when they killed off Yar. She was hot! I think she died later in a car wreck, very sad!

He is a fan. Why does anyone obsess over anything. At least he isn't forcing you to watch sports.

That's his 'safety blanket'.
Whatever craziness is going on in his life he can always find 'grounding' or 'contentment' in it.

He can watch them all on Stan. And a few series on Netflix.

Well, they recently came out with a remastered version with the special effects replaced with CG. There's a lot more to see now (they also have scenes I've [i] never[/i] seen.before!)
