Why does anyone like Star Trek?

My partner is obsessed with this damn show. we have to stop channel flipping and observe the show when it’s on even though no one else likes it and he’s seen them all before.

Well, they recently came out with a remastered version with the special effects replaced with CG. There's a lot more to see now (they also have scenes I've [i] never[/i] seen.before!)
