What is the FIRST thing you would do if you won the lottery?

I think today I would donate all of it to the Red Cross.
@Steve42 you fine fellow.

Hire a good lawyer.
TexChik · F
@SweetMae people that win huge sums of money can get way off in the weeds and start racking up ridiculous charges from some attorneys when the CFPs do the same thing for free basically.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@TexChik I will remember that if I ever win the Lottery.
TexChik · F
@SweetMae I was gonna say I hope you have the opportunity arise

There is an animal shelter that does a lot of good work. I would like to make a large donation.
@curiosi that’s admirable.
TexChik · F
@curiosi better to set up an endowment fund that you can shut off at anytime. Obviously if you are going to donate a good amount, you have expectations . This way they strive to stay with in your good graces

Buy a medium sized house with lots of acreage and trees...then make other peoples lives easier
@Fernie you wonderful woman.
Llola · 41-45, F
I would spend every last penny of whatever my winnings were to get together with ?(he knows who he is💓).
@Llola if he knows who you are why would you need to spend every last penny to be together?

I'd save most of it, and i would maybe look to move to another country and buy a house there. ...

here in my country , i still live with my mom and i dont have lot of money. and they oblige me to take a medication that i dont even want
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
if it's a substantial amount, invest in low volatility fixed rate bonds and perhaps some dividend paying stocks; live off the interest
raysam363 · 31-35, F
Gonna have a long talk with lawyers and financial advisors, make sure the money is safe first, then figure out what to do with it.
Call a friend of mine who is both a lawyer and an estate planner...

Luckily my state says I can claim anonymously...

Throw my work computer through the window. Similar to the end of one flew over cuckoos nest.
Hire a lawyer and make sure the payment is the lump sum. It's anonymous and its moved offshore.
