Not sure, honestly, but I once ran into the ground as a young teen. I was running down a very steep slope -- a four-door drop to the road below -- and I must've tripped or something. Slammed my whole body into the ground.

I legit thought I was going to die. I couldn't breathe for like a minute and a half; figured I had popped a lung but I hadn't. Got up and started staggering back, regained my breath on the way back to camp. It hurt for MONTHS and my parents didn't realize it was serious at all.

Eventually got it checked in a doctor's office. Nothing broken, just an assload of badly bruised muscle tissue.

There were a couple times after my gi and open heart surgeries I lost consciousness from the pain.

Tie between the time I fell off my bike (rather, I fell on it and the gear jammed into my leg) or some debilitating intestinal cramps I've had that felt like there was a knife passing through me.

Ive known a lot in my life, seen my kneecap after an accident, spinal injuries, bike racing accidents..but the worst ever was when I cut a tendon in my finger, they pinned it, and when it was healed, the doctor used ordinary house pliers to dig out the now healed over pin..I have never come so close to hitting a dr in my life

I've dealt with physical pain before but the thing that got me worse was the mental pain.

I probably have been able to withstand the worst motorcycle accidents with broken bones and even major cuts leading to loss of blood but I couldn't deal with a broken heart.

Heel injury from a mowing accident. They had to debreed the wound to remove dead tissue. 25 years later I still hate to think about it. Makes me cringe.

Kidney stones are absolutely the worst. Ask anyone who's had them.
