Do you have a second name that you always have to spell out when you speak on the phone?

Its sooooooooooooooooooooo annoying I could almost swear
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
My last name trips up a lot of people, so I have to spell it out.
Every fucking time. I love my middle name but nobody can spell it.
@alan20 My Dad is Norse Scandinavian born and lived In Iceland until a teen, and my Mom is Norse Gael born in Northern Ireland (North of Dublin) and lived until a teen. They met in Midwestern US and married. I grew up on my parents farm in MidWestern US and never heard anyone speak except my parents and a couple ranch hands until I went to school, so my accent is a mix of Icelandic, northern Irish, and rural MidWestern US. Nobody talks like me and I hate it. Most of my SO’s loved my accent but me not so much. The only time that I don’t have it is when I sing. My singing voice is a non accented US. I don’t know why it just always has been.

@DarkHeaven I've always hated hearing my own voice, even on a recording they made of me when I was nine, introducing the music. I just can't bring myself to sing. My father was born not far from N.Dublin in Neath.Mother from Galway in the West, a destination for Spanish smugglers.I used to tell myself I was half Spanish.Once went for an audition as repetiteur to the Royal Ballet in London and thought she was joking when a student dancer told me she loved my accent, finding it very musical. London is the loneliest place on earth when you're an extreme introvert.
@alan20 I believe you. Sorry.
GlitterBug · 22-25, F
I have to spell out both my first and last and I don't really mind until someone asks me to repeat it 3 times and still reads it back wrong.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
Yes, I do. And they still get it wrong.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
People always get my first name wrong....eventhough its the common spelling of it.
I live in Wales. People cant even say my address let alone spell it or try to pronounce it...eventhough its an easy one! Lol
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
People see my last name and ask, "So, Ian, what are you a doctor of?"

It's far more annoying than it should be.
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@DunningKruger you could be projecting your prejudices, just saying.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@Jm31xxx I'm absolutely certain that my skill at recognizing my own prejudices is higher than average.
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@DunningKruger then I guess you're aptly named.

Both my first and last name are pretty common and yet, I still have to spell them out all the time.
