I don't think she is disrespecting trans people. She simply gave her opinion which she is entitled to do as an adult. Trans people are ignoring all the good she has done by focusing on one thing she said which they disagree with.

My support for trans folk goes back decades. If you're trans I'm sure you've had many tough moments in your life.

But I don't subscribe to the idea that we have to persecute people we disagree with. Anyone. Real change happens by humanising, not dehumanising.

I let kids read anything they may be interested in, and I also encourage them to have a critical mind about everything.
