Full left overs bags for the guests on their way out the door !

@TexChik How many turkeys did you have yesterday?
TexChik · F
@cherokeepatti 4 20 pounders . 2 baked , 2 fried . I have to admit the fried ( with injected seasoning) was really good
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@TexChik Wow you must have had a lot of people over...no smoke turkeys?
4meAndyou · F
Probably my turkey and rice soup. But I used to make turkey croquettes, a long time ago, and those were awesome. Turkey Tetrazzini is also very good.

@waleskinder oh it was. Veggies picked in the garden and cooked and served within an hour, a natural sweetness to them. No additives and the meat very fresh.

@waleskinder It looks more like a fancy version of chicken Parmesan.

My mom used to make hot open-faced turkey sandwiches, with the leftover turkey and gravy.
That was a better time.

Always good! With mashed potatoes, bread and gravy.
For some reason or other, the stuffing is allways gone by the end of Thanksgiving day. Then comes the hot open-face sandwiches on day two.

@SmartKat that sounds like a good winter meal

Turkey Orzo Soup

Hmmm ... try turkey Wellington or Turkey en croute.
?? I think I'm talking to myself as much as anyone else. Probably easy to do with the help of a can of Pillsbury croissant dough.

Give it to the poor
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Emmaguiller There’s a meal kitchen serving meals to anyone walking in the door, 3 meals a day 7 days a week. I don’t think the poor want to risk eating someone’s leftovers if they don’t know their hygiene.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Not a lot of leftovers so a Turkey pot pie is for dinner
Heartlander · 80-89, M
