@MethDozer, we trained ours to never get up on counters, using water bottles. Very effective. We won't let ours go outside, so I take care of the kitty litter in the cellar. It's a small price to pay if you enjoy owning one.
@Miserablegitsometimes, same here. I could never compromise on this issue. I have to be with someone that has a heart for cats since I love them so much.
@ExtremeNext And why pretend that a cat house doesn't always smell like stale piss? How gross, letting it shit and piss in your closet. Don't tell me it doesn't if you change the litter box. It does, unless you change it immediately after each round. Even then, still smells a bit.
@MethDozer, I rather see people make a conscientious choice not to own a cat or a dog that they would lose patience with. Some of the worst abuse comes from people not knowing what they cannot handle in the first place.
@Peapod Amen to that. I once had a pet that I had to give off due to circumstances. I felt like like such a piece of shit because of it. It boggles my mind how people can treat them as disposable objects.
@MethDozer you're probably talking about the neurotoxic properties, simply being insulting in a backhanded way. It's not clever, it's not cute.
People who like cats are generally more intelligent, it's just a simple fact, the fact that you don't like cats pretty much indicates that you do not like intellectuals because cats are basically the pet of an intellectual.
I don't trust guys who don't like cats, and I trust guys who post things like this even less. There is something very off about them, and not just in my experience.
