When my mom passed. The blessing is, it was heart failure, do to an AFib and she was home, in her own bed, not connected to tubes and medication. She was 92, and had lived a beautiful life, having had many wonderful experiences and advantages.
That was 12 years ago, and I still miss her and send her love every single day ❤️

@Grateful4you Around here, we lose a few people each year because they don't realize how deep water might be under an underpass.
Grateful4you · M
@exexec People need to be aware of the potential hazards of their environments. We are mostly desert and too many assume "anything goes" they don't call them "flash" floods for nothing. In mere moments, gone!

@Grateful4you I've seen a few of those in West Texas.

9/11 would definitely be the worst I've been through. Hurricanes Sandy and Harvy may be included as well, but non natural is 9/11.
Grateful4you · M
@FrostBorne Most agree on 9/11 just too much for our minds to process, most architectural engineers agree there were bombs planted, the planes alone wouldn't have brought the buildings down.

@bijouxbroussard We are due for another big one here too.
bijouxbroussard · F
@Grateful4you I try not to look at it that way, as being “due”. There have been several smaller quakes every year. In So Cal, you folks had Northridge in 1994, which was similar to Loma Prieta.
Grateful4you · M
@bijouxbroussard I know you're right "due" could be a hundred years all my fret and worry for naught. LOL..."Here lies David who missed his due date" LOL 😵

9/11 for me too.
