Worst disaster so far in your lifetime?

For me it was 9/11. I was at work at the hospital, the nurses, visitors, patients stood there in front of a TV set all in a state of total shock.

Personally, it was Hurricane Harvey and the flooding
@exexec Was that the one in LA?

@Grateful4you No. It hit the Texas coast and hung around the Houston area for two days, dropping 51 inches of rain on our neighborhood.
@exexec Yikes! that must of been scary, as a former EMT/paramedic, I've seen far too many cars that have gone under in flash floods. People have no clue the power of rapidly moving and massive water.

@Grateful4you Around here, we lose a few people each year because they don't realize how deep water might be under an underpass.
@exexec People need to be aware of the potential hazards of their environments. We are mostly desert and too many assume "anything goes" they don't call them "flash" floods for nothing. In mere moments, gone!

@Grateful4you I've seen a few of those in West Texas.
