Do you think The cable news outlets are biased and being unfair to Trump?

Imh, the mainstream liberal media is attacking Trump just like the mainstream conservative media attacked Obama. And I absolutely dislike Obama, can't stand him but media bias is on both ends. The liberal media does have an edge on the conservative media but it's not that much of an edge because while cable news is dominated by liberal news networks, the right wing dominates talk radio.
Trump does things to provoke the media, then he lies to the media and the story becomes even bigger. Last week while 70000 people became homeless because Dorian wiped them out Trump kept the sharpie story going. Instead of focusing on the victims of Dorian Trump got the media to pay attention to him his doctored map and his lies. He even went as far as to summon people from the media to the Oval Office. The media should be pointing out how unstable the man is. He said Mexico would pay for the Wall and is now taking money from the military and schools, should the media just ignore that and let the weak minded Conservatives believe the thousands of lies or should they point out the lies?

No I don’t think so. Their job is to report the comings and goings of the President. Trump feeds the media. If he doesn’t want the coverage he should stop talking and tweeting. He honestly should just work harder and get smarter.

@SimplyTracie because they're liberals like Jeff bozos. Why would liberals support Trump? Most billionaires are liberals
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@TruthHurts Really. I thought they were mostly conservatives.
TruthHurts · 36-40, M
@SimplyTracie it's not all about money to them. It's also about power and influence. Look at J.D. Rockefeller. He was the richest man ever. The first billionaire. It's estimated that he would have an equivalent of over half a trillion dollars in today's money but he spent a lot of his money on charity and to further his agenda.

To truly delve into your question you actually need to look into the viewership of each of the cable news networks CNN being the largest liberal news Network has next to no viewership there are YouTube videos they get more views than CNN on an average night and their ratings are nothing compared to how large Fox news ratings are this being said most of the liberal networks use poles that are involved with their viewership either on their website or through calling in on a 1-800 number that means they're getting a very limited view of the countries opinions

who actually watches the news anymore? its become so repulsive

That’s the better question. I just read a newspaper in the morning for the sake of awareness. I don’t see the point in watching the talking heads on any of the three mainstream cable news outlets pontificating on the same two or three stories ad nauseam regardless of which angle they’re coming from. @Penny

I can't believe anyone, at this point, could even ASK this question
Wendy33 · F
It all depends on which news outlet you subscribe to. CNN is notoriously left wing with most of its viewers democrats so you should expect lots of negative criticism towards Trump. FOX news on the other hand has mostly right wing viewers and caters to that audience. News channels are businesses and not public services. They will do whatever it takes to get viewers.

A lot of times, yeah, because cable news and such are corporate news outlets and so they tow the corporate line of thinking. Which is to love Trump's policies but hate his personality. So, if Trump stopped the mean tweets and bombastic behavior, they'd adore him. Which is disgusting if you ask me.

I believe all news we hear is biased to some degree. We have to listen to more than one source and try our best to figure what is what.
SW-User
I’ve gone back to reading newspapers, because there is typically a much clearer delineation between fact and editorial. Plus, you’re much more likely to become aware of more events than just the words and deeds of the one guy all three mainstream cable outlets remain fixated on. @Shannon27

@SW-User How True.

Maybe a bit ...Trump gives all sorts of media with things to condemn him on or crucify him on.
So... Julian Assange just spent 7 years in an embassy because he leaked classified information..
What’s the difference between him and team meuller and cnn wopo the last 3 years.. ?
They were passing info around hourly to get a special council appointed.

🤔

They are shitting their pants about the espionage act just as much as the dirty feds running a trump coup 😁👌

Most likely as sensationalism = views. News channels are sort of experiencing a slow death atm as well due to people going elsewhere so it's like the thrashing before they drown.
SW-User
Not really. It’s not hard to call out Trump when he does something uncalled for or stupid. He’s not afraid to demonstrate that when he speaks on some issue or through his Twitter posts.
SW-User
I do believe there’s bias, but that said, he makes it very easy for his critics.

Sharpie on a weather map? Really? 😆
SW-User
hardly anyone listens to talk radio.
TruthHurts · 36-40, M
@SW-User Liberals don't listen to talk radio. Conservatives are more likely to listen to talk radio than watch cable news.
SW-User
@TruthHurts well... i guess it’s good to know that they are taking notes on cable news as well, that way they aren’t lost in some sort of biased insulated bubble.

No. Trump is nothing but a fool and what they report is true, straight from the fool's mouth.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@JeanAnna While that may be true, they still attack him on the odd occasion he does or says something right. And they defend some of the terrible shit he does. CNN for example, as much as they slam Trump, will not criticize him for giving taxpayer money to defense contractors, and they attack anyone who tries to call Trump on it.
