Do you want the world to become more accepting of gender fluidity?

PlumBerries · 31-35, F

I want the people of the world to show more kindness and respect towards one another. Regardless of religion (or non-religion), race, gender, sexual orientation, neighborhood, or financial status.
plungesponge · 41-45, M
Yes but only if it's clearly defined what is the domain of sex and what is the domain of gender.

People born with male sex organs should not be participating in women's sports, no matter what gender they identify as.

If there is no objective measure of what gender someone identifies as other than their feelings, then bathrooms should be separated based on sex, not gender.

It shouldn't be illegal to mis-gender someone. There is no right to not be offended, and governments have an atrocious record for policing speech.

we should let people lead their lives the way they want to, if it isn’t hurting others

I don't know if "accepting" is the word I'd use. I want the world to think it's not important. Like, if you wanna be gender fluid or whatever, alright. Go do that. I'm not gonna stop you. But I also have no desire to know about it.
People are becoming aware which is all you can ask for.
No matter who you are there are people who judge you and don't understand you, its not just the lgbt communities its everybody and we all have to hold our heads high and deal with it cause world peace is something that will never ever happen and living in a fantasy land about us all holding hands and singing kumbaya is not going to help, you have to accept reality.
I think its great that people can now figure out who they are and be themselves without being murdered or jailed, I don't believe its going to turn back around but there's always haters, you gotta deal

no... male/female are fundamental biological concepts. just because a very small minority doesnt feel like they fit into it doesnt change bioogical facts.

that said, its live and let live.. they can do their thing and mutilate their genitals if it makes them feel better, but shut the fuck up about it
SW-User
@Sunshine04 to me gender is the social concepts of what men or women should do, look like etc.
Sex is biology and determined by genitals and chromosomes etc... Even that's complex for the few that are born intersex.
But someone living as a different gender is transgender vs choosing to alter your body which would be transsexual.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@SW-User That's right, sex is universal, but gender is contextual on local society. Turns out humans do it every which way, and the two gender paradigm is simply not universal - and thus not fundamentally biological, etc.

Ugh, I hate when he gets his gender fluid in my hair.... 😒
SW-User
I wish we could just have a world of people who accept people who want to be who they are.... Gender, sexuality, colour... Etc
Yes. Even just learning the difference between biological sex and gender would be a significant improvement.

I kinda don't care, in that I don't care what anyone thinks of themselves.

@IstillmissEP You trust the Washington Post? Dude, why? "Ze" and "hir" is not even fucking English, there's not a chance in hell that's legit. I've never even encountered shit like that offline. The most I've seen are guys who wanna be called "she" or girls who wanna be called "he." And I'm ok with that. But I'm not gonna use some Mongoloid spider tongue nonsense.

@IstillmissEP So this law apparently only exists in New York, and the verbatim wording of it is as follows:
The New York City Human Rights Law ('NYCHRL') prohibits discrimination in employment, public accommodations, and housing. It also prohibits discriminatory harassment and bias-based profiling by law enforcement
No part of the law assigns legal punishment for anything to do with pronouns. Someone in New York tried to file a lawsuit against someone by claiming they violated the NYCHRL when they refused to call them "ze" instead of "he."
meh, i dont like the fantasy land people live in now a days then try pushing it onto others as if they are suppose to accept it. theres biologically only 2 genders and cant really wrap my head around why people cant accept what gender they are or why they would want to mutilate themselves to try to look like something they biologically wasnt made to be.
Better than all the hate there is.

100% but education, communication, understanding and compassion needs to come from both sides...
There can be aggression from lgbt and from non lgbt communities thats not necessary.
Treating people as human first is most important.

Yes ..... it’s not possible for everyone to be this way but those who choose to be should feel accepted just as old school men and women are by society

@SW-User Nice! It's a look that I think is awesome. Girls can more easily pull it off, of course. Back in high school I had slightly longer hair for a while and that's when I could look androgynous. I'm looking for one pic from that era in particular, can't find it, but if I do, I will post 😁

@SW-User [c=#BF0000]I can just imagine.. with your sparkly eyes, babyish face and long hair 🤭 [/c]

Yes, I don't truly believe one is born as one gender. Much more a mixture of hormones that way...

In my experience, those saying no are not secure about their own sexuality, and it scares them.
SW-User
yea if they become less noisy and annoying about all the new shit they just discovered and want people to know
Andrewtoo · M
Way too much bullshit going on in the world and WAY worst things than worrying about someone’s gender.
