@Spiritualangel777 I have to say whichever way you look at it the last 2 years haven't made us look particularly good.
Nope lol @SW-User

@SW-User I find the European stance on energy/electricity amusing tbh. You have countries like Germany that boast about their "green" energies while being totally reliant on Nuclear power from France (which is 2nd only to US in nuclear power production; and as such is the largest exporter of power in Europe due to it's low cost...)

🤦♂️
Says he's going to unite the country. One minister resigned yesterday in anticipation of his election. Let's see how many others leave the cabinet before the end of the week?
His biggest asset is his ability to bare face lie about anything. Sacked twice as a journalist for making up quotes or important "facts", sacked by his party leader from the shadow cabinet for repeatedly lying to him about an affair he was having.
So just the man to guide us through the most important negotiations and period in our modern history. How could it possibly go wrong? 🤦♂️

Oh god. That's the way of politics though isn't it. That desperate ethical race to the bottom. I'm 67 years old and can't remember the last time I thought a new PM was an improvement over the old one. It's very disheartening.

is he the guy that looks like Trump after a wild night?
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@DoubleRings the only "laughing stock" in the US are the people that bet on Hillary in 2016... 😆
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
yeah true he does look like him and he’s no shining star either. maybe they are ALL related.@wildbill83
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
The US prez is still a laughing stock on the world stage -sorry but he is. He’s not the only one, but he is the biggest. @wildbill83

Well, European leaders think he's a joke - so that bodes badly for Brexit.
President Trump seems to like him - so that bodes badly for Iran.
He was entirely ineffectual as Foreign Secrerary - so that bodes badly for all other countries.
Scotland, Wales and NI probably wonder why they are saddled with this idiot when they have perfectly good leaders already - so that bodes badly for the Union.
He's an insane choice in an already insane world.

Countries have the leaders they deserve.
Cierzo · M
@SW-User But regardless of the way they are chosen, leaders do not come out the blue, they are a reflection of ideas and behaviour that are, if not shared, at least accepted by large groups of people.
'As above, so below' is a nice catchphrase, but with democracy it is the opposite.

@Cierzo actually I'd leave it that way around. I think the "leaders" in many modern societies shape the masses into what they think they want long before the leader is actually installed in power. "As above, so below"
Cierzo · M
@SW-User I think it is media that shapen the masses, and then these choose the leaders.
But masses have the chance too of thinking for themselves instead of eating MSM porridge, and more often than not they refuse to do it.

Great! Brexit now!
Peaches · F
Never heard of him since I'm over here in the USA, but I saw him on TV and thought he might be related to Trump with his antics!🤪
Gingerbreadspice · F
He can’t be any worse than all the PM’s we’ve had over the last few decades.
RubySoo · 56-60, F

What is it about right-wing despots with bad hair ? The UK got one to match ours...😳

At least May is no longer PM. She was a disaster. Hopefully Johnson can sort it out.
