Do you think the burqa should be banned in non-Islamic countries?

BlueVeins · 22-25
No, it should not. Burqas are a form of artistic expression and free speech that should be protected in any respectable society. Furthermore, banning burqas pisses off Muslims, and helps foster anti-infidel sentiment.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@JovialPlutonian Are you implying that the law should not distinguish between physical pain and mental pain?
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@BlueVeins distinguish all you want, I don't understand your point? Please elaborate:)
BlueVeins · 22-25
@JovialPlutonian Well, you said you oppose inflicting pain on people for selfish reasons. What kind of pain are you talking about exactly, and what kind of opposition do you have?
i dont like the fact that the appeasers let them get away with shit like . 'not having to remove it' to prove who they are with their ID.. enter a bank. enter parliament.

im truly surprised bank robbers haven't used it yet as a full body confusing disguise..
(that would be the fastest way to have it banned)

other then that.. wear what you want.
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I'm surprised it hasn't been used for that either honestly, it's an easy pass for anonymity.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout we had a bomb raid in my home town because some idiot in a burqa put a parcel in a bin in the town centre. If muslims truly care about those whose country they live in they'd show compassion. They're rude and insulting.
SW-User
No way! That's like banning kippahs in non-Israeli countries
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
Well I'd ban all religion personally @SW-User
SW-User
@JovialPlutonian I'm not at all religious but I still respect different beliefs
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@SW-User I appreciate that but caution is necessary. It's not like they respect yours. Ask Germany, they have to deal with innocent women being gang raped by Muslim men in the streets, in the uk we've had the same, over a thousand girls (9-14 years) have been raped by Muslims all in one town.
curiosi · 61-69, F
I have to take off my hat and sunglasses to enter a bank they should have to remove it to enter the bank as well. Other than that wear what you wish.
Ynotisay · M
I'd like to ban it everywhere. That's just seriously twisted shit.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Ynotisay it's a twisted ideology. Let's wish sharia law doesn't infect our world, unless you wish to be stoned to death for not agreeing with it.
Ynotisay · M
@JovialPlutonian Here's my take. Fuck Sharia Law, fuck the subjugation of women and, while I'm at it, fuck religion.
There. I feel better.
Thanks.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Ynotisay ditto, I feel the same.
SW-User
Unless there are significant problems caused by people wearing them, no.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
Yeh putting parcels in town centre bins, why do you think we don't have bins in our airports?@SW-User
SW-User
It's required of their culture for it to be worn. They have no choice.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@SW-User they created their culture!
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
If they can wear a burqa on their id picture,i can wear a ski mask.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
I think we should all go out in public wearing masks@Bagalamaga
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
Would cause a lot less controversy if it was I think.
JBird · F
Now, this is a good question. Personally, I don't believe in burqa but I feel it's unethical to put a ban on wearing them. Rather strict measures should be taken that no women are forced to wear them.
Of course not.
While it can be a form of oppression, for many women it is part of their identity or connection to their faith and culture.

Why would you want to ban that?
I have to say yes while also saying no.

Nope...I like it too..
Not if the country claims to support freedom of religion.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
Even if that religion threatens your freedom?@bijouxbroussard
