@Nimbus He pissed away two years pretending Mexico would pay for the wall. The Democrats were voted in to stop him, and so he has to resort to a shut down and now maybe a national emergency.
And if you break this precedent, what stops some anti-gun nut in the future from declaring a national emergency to take everyone's guns?

I’m fine with spending time/money on immigration. More physical barriers are on my list too.
But this is total nonsense. Do it right or it’s going to be just as bungled as ACA.

Although it would expedite the issue it would set a BAD precedence. If and when a liberal is elected he/she could declare a national emergence and mandate climate control correcting rules.
I prefer he call it a security issue and order the military to handle it with the Army Corps of Engineers talked to build the ENTIRE wall.

He's not getting his wall because the country can't afford it.
Tell a spoiled child as often as you like. Until he learns that no means no(yeah yeah. I doubt he's heard it too often in life either !) nothing much is likely to change.
I mean he may even have had support for his idea !
But the SECOND he put honest,hard working folk OUT OF WORK, he lost the argument.
