@TexChik Geography works against CA here, even compared to others - but the other states burn all the same, you just don’t hear about it because you don’t pay attention, and your knowledge of this is not even skin deep.

And again - 98% of the camp fire is on Federal land. Where does the buck stop on that? 😂

@Synyster We don't get really cold here until the week after Thanksgiving, typically (the last Thursday in November). I remember using that as a rule for putting up our Christmas lights. If it was not done in that week it was a miserable freezing suffering experience.

@Synyster I guarantee you that I will not do that but thanks for the headsup. The other day I was reading about some town in Russia where the temp was about -40C. How and why the hell do people even live there ? That's way beyond f*cked up !

Unseasonably cold and wet. It's actually snowing just a short drive north. We will have frost but a few miles north is under a freeze warning. Our first frost usually come in December. I believe we will have a winter storm of some sort here on the northeast gulf coast this winter. It happens every couple of decades or so. it's amazing what the weather can do. In 1895 it snowed in Tampico Mexico at sea level. I've seen it get down to 15 degrees Fahrenheit right here on the beach on the northeast gulf coast.

It was -22 C here two days ago and a strong sharp wind. When I was Pennsylvanian I owned parkas & stuff - wasn't anticipating needing them in the desert!
