From my experience, when someone likes the things i like and has a similar personality and goals, then they always seem to look great in their own way. They might not fit the dream type of look, but honestly who cares. I am way past caring about that. As long as they tick the boxes in the other areas that's what counts.

I mean I'm a bit of a eugenicist. I 100% care more about her being into me and being compatible. However, I just cant get it up for a lady who looks like a chimp. I say give me something I can work with. Like if she's somewhat pretty and just a lil chunky I can work with that. We can hit the gym together and both come up a few points on the 10 scale.

@bijouxbroussard I was gonna link it explicitly but I felt like it was getting too wordy. I meant to imply that I dont want to curse my children with being unattractive. I was a late bloomer so I know how it feels to look fuckin weird. Sucks. Luckily I have good genes and grew up to be somewhat handsome with a decent build. I'd hate to put them in a similar situation but with no such reprieve to look forward to.

For a relationship, looks are important, but not more important than an emotional bond. Often, an emotional attraction leads to a physical attraction. Personally, I thought my bf was hot when I first met him, but until we developed a strong emotional bond and I was attracted to him on the inside, I never considered going out with him. Friends for 2 years first.
