no one was alive in the 80's. it was a dead decade. If Patty Smith hadn't come along we'd all be dead still!
GerOttman · 61-69, M
@NankerPhelge It's easy, you just breath. In then out, but you think about it while you do it, which most people usually don't do very often. After awhile you start to reach out with your mind and sometimes the universe reaches out to you. The discrete points we learn begin to blur and run together. A new perception may be aroused. It's all bullshit of course...
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@GerOttman If the "new perception" perceives the word "breath" as a verb then I don't think I want to know. I'm from the old school that recognises the word "breath" as a noun and I prefer it as a noun.

@NankerPhelge exactly my point! thanks for understanding.
hunkalove · 61-69, M

Yup greatest decade ever
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Tminus6453 How was it the greatest decade ever? Most of the music was dull, the fashions were even worse and we had the dreaded Margaret Thatcher running the country. What did the 80s have going for them to make them great?
Tminus6453 · M
@NankerPhelge Music was the greatest, cheap concerts, fashion was great, technology was picking up (arcades,VCR's)...alot of great movies.. boozing/partying, people still got together and had partys... it was the greates decade
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Tminus6453 The rock music was good in the 80s, I went to a few cheap concerts myself, but how many times did we hear Motorhead or Iron Maiden on the radio? Most of the music we used to hear everywhere was that awful campy synthpop. Movies were OK too, but I didn't have a VCR until 1989, so it was the beginning of the 90s when I really got into movie collecting. I collected records in the 80s but the vast majority of them came out in the two previous decades.
I was happiest in the 80’s. Good times, man, good times.

Technically. I was too young and sheltered to really have been considered "alive" then, though.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
Yes, I was a young adult in the 80s. It wasn't the most inspiring decade.
Snuffy1957 · 61-69, M
