There are so many varieties of the American accent, mostly I like them all...but they are not like "wow" to me like an Irish accent for instance.

@Fantabulous Good observation. There's a huge variety of American accents. In New Orleans alone, there must be half a dozen different accents.

@Rutterman oh wow, the only ones I recognise as being from a specific area are the southern accents, but otherwise I wouldn't know which was from where.

@Fantabulous You probably have to grow up in the U.S. to be able to tell the difference in some of the accents. I can hear a difference between the way people from Texas and people from North Carolina talk. You might not be able to tell them apart.

My 5th cousin came to visit from England, and he told me my accent was "cute".
