Do you think that women occupy enough space in politics?

I feel that at least in the United States, women end up behaving like men to make it in politics, and what our government really needs is more real female influence.

I would like to see true equality, where there is a male and female senate, a male and female congress so that women could vote and express themselves as women, and not pretending to be men. I feel that being able to express their more true selves, they would add great value to debate and discussions specially when it comes to foreign policy.

When women decide they desire equality, as women, not equality as men everything will change. But until that time, until women stop behaving like men, it doesn't really matter if they are involved in politics or not, they are just another guy.

If you consider the quality and abilities of politicians in general.... you have to ask yourself ' do I really want to work with all them?" Then you have to examine the rules to be certain how actually unfriendly those rules are to females. Then you have to consider whether it's actually a nice way of life. Will your family and the people you love really benefit from having all that public and press intrusion? Now perhaps we can see why many politicians are really just in it for themselves and not for the greater good of their fellow human being.
Women have been in politics. Some of the most powerful ppl in Europe are women . Margaret thatcher put up with a more misogynistic crowd then today's women will ever experience and became prime minister..
I'm calling bullshit on this narrative that women are held back! 🤘

Given that a woman is leading my province and given that my province is in financial trouble with no end in sight because of her policies..... I think there are too many women in politics and she should be gone. My great grandkids will be paying for her policy blunders and they are not even born yet.

I don't believe in some "women can only represent women" ideology. The numbers are what they are and everyone that wants to be involved is.

@Jackaloftheazuresand You are of course entitled to your own opinion, whatever that is. That statement "the numbers are what they are and everyone that wants to be involved is" overlooks a number of important points, two of which might be..... Firstly try being a worker and a mother and secondly do you not think we ought to improve the quality of our politicians ?

Life is about trade offs, try being a pro surfer, movie star, and a banker.

I fail to see your second point's link to my reply. I'll still muster a proper response all the same. Pushing people into politics is not a guarantee of quality increase.

No, until the percentages are representative of the population they do not.
