That statement "the numbers are what they are and everyone that wants to be involved is" overlooks a number of important points, two of which might be..... Firstly try being a worker and a mother and secondly do you not think we ought to improve the quality of our politicians ?

I fail to see your second point's link to my reply. I'll still muster a proper response all the same. Pushing people into politics is not a guarantee of quality increase.
