This sounds like me when I used to believe I had a circle of friends myself, until I realized that they were all actually my sister's friends and I was just sorta there. If I wasn't her sister, they wouldn't pay me any mind other than thinking I was attractive (at the time, anyway lol.)

But what you said here:
It's not you, it's them. They're supposed to be your friends and if they're leaving you out of the loop, it's you who shouldn't trust them. People just suck. It's enough to make one doubt if friendship is even real.

There is always that one person in any circle that the others try to keep things from. The reason, that person is often the worst gossiper and will run and blab their mouth to people who are NOT in the "Circle".

I hope you are not that person. Obviously I do not know but yeah there is always "That one."

Like in my family, everyone used to say, "Don't say anything to dad..." like, "I do not interact with him either way." 😄

Birds of the same feathers flock together.. So if yoire not as socialy gracefull or as savvy as yoir peers you will be left out and naturally filtered out into a group where all your left with is with people of a similar calibre as you. Its a natural process of life and in fact is fractal meaning this behavior goes down to the cellular level and happens inside our bodies where the least desirable and faulty cells get pushed out naturaly by the stronger healthier cells.

Yeah, girls will do this to you. You need better friends.
