In 2023, I had to have my mitral valve replaced. So that meant open heart surgery. I have a twelve inch scar on my chest. Turns out, since I was about 19, I had always complained of chest pains. The doctors always said it was anxiety, but in 2022, I got a new doctor who had me see a cardiologist. Turns out my mitral valve was messed up since birth. Ain't that something?
@ScreamingFox For me a few are from surgeries. Then there’s one on my foot from moronic handling of a pressure washer. And a couple on my arms from some dark teenager times.
The one on my leg was from jumping on garbage bags in my father's garage, what possessed me at 7 years old to do so, not sure. The scar tissue around my left lung was caused from pnemouina
I cut my hand on a corned beef tin, saw the blood, felt dizzy and then I passed out hitting my face on a radiator and splitting it open. I was not great in the hospital. I was freaking out and very dramatic "I'm going to look like Frankenstein's sister 😭😭😭" (Sorry nurses. You are awesome. I hope you don't have to deal with to many people like me) I don't look like Frankenstein's sister by the way. They bought a nurse in from the children's ward, apparently, because she was really good at sutures. It might of been more because I was a piece of work and needed a babies nurse but the scar doesn't look too bad, so either way I did ok 😊
