Define the line btwn "tough love" and child abuse?

@foldedunfolding Thanks for sharing ,in my foster their idea of tough love was being locked in pitch black closet for a day . Which was better than the belt .

@Lostpoet yeah it was meant to signify the hopelessness i feel. you're telling me to be okay with a life of garish lighting, people fighting, being told to pull myself up by my bootstraps but i cannot afford boots..yet you give them to the people who harrass....you have a mom completing crafts with you as a kid but she is abusive asf..

@Lostpoet when i said straps that fuck me..i was alluding to pulling yourself up by your bootstraps..then being fucked by a strap-on..then the smoke alarm is going off so it needs a battery..very anxiety inducing..but "supposedly my parents did the best they could with what they had", so they could only assault instead of battery me. then the assault and pepper was a play on words like salt and pepper..etc. hope it made sense.

@Lostpoet also..the best hell thing: if you KNEW you were in hell, it would make SENSE that you were damned and punished for eternity. but a hell that is TRULY HELL...would hide the fact it was hell. other people around you (hobby lobby ladies) wouldnt see it. everything bad that happened to you would be karma. you would tell the cop you couldnt breathe and those ladies would kick you. you would be punished for not being able to breathe. you would be quietly desperate in a walmart. you would be alone at the holidays. you would have a mom who is a pillar of the community and question yourself as to if she is truly abusive bc sometimes she is nice. you would wonder where God is..and is He punishing you bc you are wicked? or are you one of the faithful, like Job, who is being purified? you would be BLAMED for the very hell you were damned to.

@kodiac for hell to TRULY fulfill its purpose, it must feel endless and like there is NO purpose.
