Should every country have an 'Official Red-Light District?

Women for sale, like merchandise. Not a pretty image, and not something you can avoid, if you're out in Amsterdam's canal district. I once saw, in one of the windows, a woman, her mother and grandmother, displayed as a "special price" package.

I believe sex work should be legal and regulated to insure everyone's safety, and prevent exploitation, and sex trafficking, and pimping should be outlawed, but I have mixed feelings about putting women up for "sale", like pieces of meat.
