when you go out, do you fear anyone starting trouble with you

i have this deep fear of anyone nefarious approaching me or starting trouble with me when i go out...i think the fear is inbuilt because of my past where i was violently attacked in public numerous times because i had anger outbursts and provoked comebacks from it..

now i have a bit of ptsd from those attacks in the distant past, so when i go out i feel very on edge and anxious....paranoid too.

is there a way to get over this i wonder? and how safe do you feel outside?

I live in a city with a disturbingly high incidence of random violence, especially with the drugs currently on the streets, but I almost always feel safe. It may just be naivete but naivete has its points.
I don't know how I would get over your situation, other than therapy. It sounds like you have some real trauma in your past. I do wish you healing!!

I feel perfectly safe outside. I've never been in a fight in my life. I do live in the hood though, so there's always the possibility of being an innocent bystander during a drive by.
I fear this every day because of my tourette's. I have bad vocal outbursts and tics and I can't control them. I always worry I'm going to upset someone walking by me

No I always feel safe.
No I don't. But I do assume they wanna harass me because it's almost a normal occurrence here. Men do this a lot here.
