Do you ever find yourself thinking about past trauma you thought you have gotten over?

Our brains can often behave strangely. Mine likes to go back(not flash back) and revisit things. Mine include:
--The slow and arduous unraveling of my marriage in the early 2000s;
--The death of my father following a series of illnesses in 2019;
--The loss of various pets throughout my life;
--Various tumultuous relationships and their fiery, trainwreck endings

I'm in therapy and have been for a while. I do not have PTSD. Counseling helps, but every so often, my brain does the equivalent of a greatest hits(as in hits to the body). It passes after a bit, but I can't say I enjoy it. Anyone else?

@Raaii You are still young, there are many chances in hope/redemption..I have something in my history, I never think about anymore, things just let go as we grow older and become wiser.

@Raaii I hardly know you, but like you. Things will pick up, okay? I've learned life does this to us, we end up searching for the silver lining and learning from what we thought we would struggle with for so long.... (you aren't alone)
