Watch out.... not saying this for everyone but have you ever noticed..

The people who bang on about repsect for others and do a lot of virtue signalling are often the most dodgy? Of course it's not always the case but I find it a lot. The people who don't seem too nice at the beginning often end up being the most genuine. This one guy who claims "respect is slowly disappearing" apparently asked if there was someone who could kill his ex wife so she couldn't get any money in their divorce! I've seen that guy in person, never spoke to him but gave me the dirtiest look I've ever had.

Could it be a function of the old "grass is always greener" phenomenon? If you aren't expecting anything good, the least bit seems a lot; if you are expecting sainthood, the least flaw is magnified?

@dancingtongue I never knew this guy but what has been said seems absolutely awful. Those kinds do come across as saints at first. I met one myself.. lovebombed me then I found out he abused his ex.

So how much money was he talking?

I have not personally known very many people who were cruel and/or outright theives and untrustworthy.

Those few I have known... polite as can be. Never missed a please or thank you. Sir and ma'am. They knew all the rules of being polite and used them as the mask to hide their true selves.

To this day, I remain suspicious of people who are overly polite.
