Morality: the set of do's and dont's that is most useful to those who run the society you live in

I think that's a good explanation for why morality is so different across culture and country lines.

At the end of the day it's all about maintaining a power structure.

I think rules or laws in a society are necessary for it's proper functioning. If business for example could not count on contracts or you never knew if the bank wasn't going to take your money, or that you are protected against fraud and theft and violence.

I believe these rule benefit everyone. Not sure if that is what your idea or morality is. I think most people have a basic moral compass that is the Golden Rule which fits in with secular laws.

State imposed morality the is derived from a specific religion I oppose. I believe in the separation of church and state.

This is true. But who decides what is "proper"?.

Surely not you and I.

For example: the natives of this land had a different idea about what was proper. They're mostly all dead.

And the ones who killed them are the ones who made these rules we follow.

I'm not arguing for or against any specific way of life, I'm just speaking to how arbitrary it all is.
