Yeah, let's talk about fireworks instead of armor piercing weapons.

@MistyCee Nobody needs armor piercing rounds, though. I need an M-80 now and then.

@LordShadowfire Eh armour pericing isn't really a thing in civilian ammo and completely illegal in pistol calibers. Really armour peircing ammo is legal only for certain FFL holders and pentrator core ammo is completely illegal for handgun calibers.
Green tip 5.56 is pentrating ammo, not armor peircing. But in reality any moderate or full power rifle round will penatrate kevlar. So the core in green tip makes little to no pra tucle difference in terms of body armour

@MistyCee I can tell you why. It isn't any more armour piercing than any full power rifle or round, which are essentially hunting rounds. Also the specific round for military use is forbidden from civilian sale.
What's going on here. Is the military is going rogue in modern military concepts and going back to full power rifle rounds over the generally accepted modern warfare concept of moderate-power rifle rounds like the .223.
Essentially they could have accomplished the same thing going back to your Grandads .30-06 round or even something like a .270 Winchester. Just a full power round. But it's always an advantage in trials amd practice to design a new round that can handle being scaled up in the future.
Truth be told this gun isn't any different than a semi-auto .30-06.
Now disagree with the tastes of the decision but those are the balistic points. But essentially this is just a modern rifle like the AR but returning to the old types of rounds. From a civilian aspect this type of rifle has already been available
The scaryley part to me is now it changes the bad ass inage from a mediocre varmit round modern battle rifle to a deer or bear cartridge modern battle rifle.

@MistyCee Like I said, debate and disagree with the tastes of the decision to release and or the marketeting tactics. Just saying why it isn't illegal or what qualifies as a specific armour peircing round. It's because it is just a glorfied hunting caliber semi auto.
Also the context of those quotes is kinda ambiguous in what they were answering or said in.
