I called in sick today

I'm sick of trying to pretend that I don't need days off when I'm on my 🔴. I'm not denying myself that anymore. If I lose my job, I lose my job. Wouldn't be the first time a company completely let me down. 😒 This world fkng sucks when you have a chronic health condition.

Some people can maintain focus on work while bleeding and in excruciating pain. Others can't. NOT ALL OF US ARE THE SAME. People are always gonna judge, I don't care anymore. I have to rest sometimes and put all of my focus on just getting through THAT DAY.

I'm thinking about applying for disability benefits tbh, because these conditions I have are only getting worse with age.

I called off my second job last night because i was too exhausted and in too much pain. Give me the point on my record at this rate. Went to the hospital because my blood pressure was through the roof and I wasn't feeling ok

Definitely prioritize your health. Is there any kind of arrangement you can make with your work? One of my co-workers has endometriosis and her doctor had to fill out a few forms but for those 2-3 days out of the month she's allowed to call in sick without it being an issue.

It’s a long process with a big risk of being denied (disability)

My mother somehow got it, she has fibromyalgia and orthostatic hypotension.

It took over a year, and she couldn’t work for the time leading up.

Have u got urself checked for endometriosis? This is a codition that causes extreme pain when on period. I suggest u book an appointment with a gynecologist. Bc I think what u r experiencing is not normal.

@Simplyme33 endometriosis has a 50% chance of growing back after surgery. I do want a hysterectomy though.

Is it the whole time or just the first few days that are bad? Taking day two or three days off each month shouldn’t be a problem.

@LeGrotesque I was thinking that the female cycle rotates through the weekdays too. There must be at least twice each year that it falls on a weekend.

@Muthafukajones it can happen during weekends but it lasts 5-10 days so weekdays are definitely included.
