Have a positive mindset.
Set mini goals / tasks and achieve them.
Have gratitude and love simple things, notice them.intentionally.

Once you achieve them, reward yourself whether it is music , dance or eating.

Rinse and repeat.

I struggle with this often.

I'm trying to change my mindset about it - instead of tasks just being more things on my to do list that often seem meaningless, I'm asking myself how will I feel about myself if I do it. And well, I want to feel good... so it's kinda of like taking care of myself. I just take a little at a time to manage being overwhelmed.

Knowing that I had open heart surgery and a stroke yet still lived to see another day. I count every day that I have had since then as a blessing, even if I'm not really doing what I want to do at the time.

@HowtoDestroyAngels That's a good way to live

That's difficult.

Sometimes what I do is just promise myself a I will do a little bit while treating myself to a good podcast or movie in the background.

And sometimes I just do do a little bit, which is still better than nothing.

But often I end up enjoying myself after a time, and losing myself in my own thoughts while I work away, or the audiobook/podcast.

Good luck 💙💙💙

If I'm not accountable to myself then I won't respect or like myself, and I get further away from who I want to be.
For me, it's the realization that if I don't do it, it won't get done.

@onrealityofdreams Bingo. A crappy truth but the reality of it.
@PerfectionOfTheHeart The truth is supposed to set us free. Right.

My dang problem is, I don’t know if I actually have more free time, or am I just forgetting stuff!
🤷😅
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
@TravisTx I feel like I am forgetting stuff as well

@SlippingAway don’t worry, we all have those times of little motivation. Perhaps take a day to treat yourself and make your mind up to jump on some of those needed things, afterwards.
Fear of failure and not being good enough is my biggest motivator

Usually hunger
The feeling of accomplishment once the task is done
usually just spite.
