I got two removed when I was a teen.
If I recall, the IV insertion in my arm hurt more than the post-operative pain, which was more soreness than pain.

Oh wow, best of luck! I had all 4 removed and it wasn’t fun but had to be done, you will shake it off in a week

If not, it might just be a money-grab for the dentist.
But if it really needs to be, it is not horrible, might be a little sore for a couple days but that's all.

Just don't suck anything for the first week, like use a straw. That was the worst part of having mine out. Not a huge deal otherwise.

Get them all removed. No point in going through all that agony and then doing it all again in a few years.
