Mannn yesterday was supposed to be the day that the refugee woman moved in, but the elderly pastor was tired and pushed it back to today.

His liaison just got back to me and said that today, the last possible day, the refugee woman is refusing to move in bc I am not near a bus line.

The liaison seemed so exhausted when she told me....She said she used to be a refugee herself, and was just happy to have a warm place to lay her head when she came over from Africa.

She had told them where I lived before this, and seemed frustrated on both her own behalf (having to find another placement), and on mine (I set up the room with stuff I bought, etc).

It's a relief in a small way, just because I was nervous to learn a new position with a stranger in my home, and I didn't know where the money was going to come from.

But I am also bummed, bc I was feeling honored to be used in that way 😔

Just give it sometime to see what happens...:)
It's good how you offered to help anyway and perhaps opening your house like that will bring you some other energies in..

@foldedunfolding check Couchsurfing. You can assist in travelers with low budget and host them for few days each.
I used the site throughout my travels, just requires a yearly subscription but it's not much. You can create a profile and put yourself out as a host..
I can even help you get started by writing you a comment on there.
Just an idea...
Or just wait and see..:))
