@Carazaa The right to bear arms is the right to live, you remove that and lots of people die as no one can defend themselves. Hence why I am so passionate about this because I'd be dead now if I did not conceal carry.
Parents have the RIGHT to defend their children, if they don't...then they failed at it. OF course the person who attack them is 100% responsible for it and the blame should be put 100% on them, no one else.
There is no specific right to feel safe in public amendment, as I certainly would never feel safe in a liberal city with high crime rates, if there was amendment for that I could sue all the liberal cities saying I don't feel safe there. Plus if I become the victim of a crime, I should be able to sue them for allowing it to happen.
There are amendments that guarantee the state cannot deprive anyone of life without due process.
The ONLY way I would be okay getting rid of guns is if the federal government passed a law that says, if I am the victim of a crime I get a million dollars for it because the state failed to protect me...or if I'm dead my family does.
Otherwise I will not be a victim ever again and I don't care how many kids die as I'm not going to die so they can be safe.
