Today a homeless person asked me my name

I see her almost every day and I wish I could help her. She doesn't often accept food.

I was so touched she wanted to know my name

It's so SAD you guys. I can't imagine how cold and miserable it is

The homeless folks break my heart. They all have a story, and many of us could be in that same position with only a few missed paychecks.

There are so many homeless people here in Phoenix. I see the same ones almost daily, but I'm usually in a car so I can't talk to them. It always makes me really sad. I can't imagine being homeless in this kind of heat.

Any of us could end up homeless. Lose your job, miss rent or mortgage payments. Be diagnosed with mental health issues and not be treated, addiction can lead to becoming homeless.

It’s hard to see people struggle and know they may not have somewhere warm to sleep and good to eat.
