When someone you like blocks you

Someone I really liked here blocked me today. This person brought me a lot of joy. They are really funny and when I am in pain which is all the time their posts made me laugh.

I was always active on their posts and they commented on one of my posts today and I went to go and comment back and I can’t.

I am just not good at this stuff. Hasn’t been the greatest day and that kinda made it worse 😢.

How do you deal with this?

I don’t really care if people block me.

Surely they have their reasons. I may have annoyed them or upset them, unknowingly. We all respond in a way to protect our emotions. Blocking is their stress response. 🤷‍♀️

I’ve only ever been affected by a block once in my SW life. And that was because the person and I were close. And again, I understood that it was their stress response to avoid me (it’s complicated lol). I had to respect that.

Now it’s your turn to choose how you feel about that. Don’t worry about those people.

1. It begins from accepting that we can’t expect everyone of the 7.7B people to accept/ understand/like/love us.

That’s just a reality.

2. People can like/love us one day and hate/dislike us the next day.

Why they change their minds has to do with how THEY see the world—- not (always) because of what you did or did not do.

@CookieCrumbs That’s true but I take rejection pretty hard from stuff from my childhood. I am trying to work through it. Thank you for that perspective.
