May I suck the fun out of this? The bowtie originated in 1886 at the Tuxedo Club in New York. It was a mock up of the cravat, a scarf tied in an iconical way, first introduced in the 17th century by croatian mercenaries.

If bowties are placed at the top of the clothing line below the neck (the collar) to mimick the scarf, and the scarf tucks underneath a coat, it makes sense that giraffes would wear coats that go aaaalllll the way to the top of the neck to maximize surface area and help stay warm.

All of this leads me to believe that wearing a bowtie as a giraffe would require placing it at the top of your neck, just below the chin, as in exhibit A, just as a scarf would be tucked below a giraffe's coat. 😌

Although wearing it at the bottom could be some sort of rebellious statement.
