Sometimes. Specially when commuting and there is enough space but people still sit or stand a little too close. A little accidental touch could feel irritating if it's goes on for a while.

I don't like close talkers , you know the ones who get inches from your face ...🙄

I understand that. I'm not a huggy kiddy person either. In many cultures that is the norm even with strangers.

A few yrs back I had some dealings with Swiss people for a few days. I shook their hands but one of the women couldn't accept just a handshake. She was rather agitated and eventually just grabbed me and kissed me on both cheeks and said, "There , it's done !" Then she relaxed.

I feel the same when some of the people i know do that. Especially my mother.

This contemporary hugging thing can't be avoided anymore. It does seem insincerely annoying at times but it would be even more annoying to start a dispute over it. I would like to kick whoever's ass who started this ritual.
