What does it mean when your laptop suddenly shows a static screen?

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: Could be a loose connection. You can try and lightly press against the area where it looks the worst and see if that resolves it.

@Contagious: I had to hard shut it down. There seems no problem now but it was just odd. Like a scene from an alien movie.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: The inverter could be going out on it. Hope you have a warranty. Lenovo is a cheap company, try a Samsung next.
